Michael McGarry, Principal, has more than 25-years of public policy experience in the government and private sector. Michael has worked as a government relations and public affairs leader for Fortune 25 and Fortune 250 corporations and has represented businesses and not-for-profit organizations before policymakers at the federal, state, and local levels. He is an award-winning advocacy practitioner in public policy campaigns resulting in the enactment of pivotal legislation.

Michael spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill where he served in the personal office of a member of House Leadership and was later recruited to join the House Financial Services Committee. As a senior member of Committee staff, Michael advanced the enactment of substantial, industry-changing legislation and oversaw parliamentary procedure and strategic communications. Michael’s perspective on advancing legislation to enactment is broadened by having served in both the Majority and the Minority in Congress.

In the private sector, Michael has held leadership positions in Fortune 25 and Fortune 250 corporations as well as leading industry trade associations. He has successfully advocated for legislative and regulatory policies in the energy, financial services, transportation, travel, and hospitality sectors at both the Congressional and Executive branch levels. Michael’s policy experience includes the areas of tax, appropriations, safety and security, technology, consumer care, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility. While serving as a global external affairs leader for a Fortune 25 multinational conglomerate, Michael led advocacy in North America, Europe, and Asia, successfully securing public policy priorities while navigating various governments and regulatory processes.

Michael believes in giving back to communities and has served on the Boards of philanthropic and professional organizations.
